I would like to send a huge thank you to the Media Arts Council for all of the hard volunteer work that they do! The Media ICONS a 2nd Look, was a fabulous art show, with a wonderful turn out.

Also many thanks to Tango 411 Studio, for allowing the use of their space!

The photograph featured in the juried show, selected from my three entries, is titled, "Window Shopping on State Street during Super Sunday." The lovely orange dress in the shop window could be viewed at Per Lei Boutique during the month of August at our annual sidewalk sale and festival. Per Lei is featured in this year's, "Best of Philly," and also in, "Best of the Main Line Today."

This art show is part of Media's Second Saturday, where over 40 businesses along State Street in Media, PA host artists and musicians from 6:00 to 9:00 pm on the Second Saturday of every month.

Hello!

Fall is here- celebrate the change of seasons at Media's 2nd Saturday! And, since 2nd Saturday is always fabulous and always FREE, you can't beat the price for a night filled with an amazing array of live music and original artwork! You don't even need to drive far, making 2nd Saturday eminently affordable for a date, to take out the family, or to go out with friends. So, enjoy the crowds, fill your senses, and start scoping out inexpensive but one-of-a-kind holiday presents at Media's stupendous shops! And stop by our Photography Exhibit Opening...

2nd Saturday Main Event:

Media ICONS Photography Exhibit Opening:
A 2nd Look

ONE NIGHT ONLY EVENT! Tango 411 Studio - map # 51 6-9 pm. This exhibit is of juror-selected works from the Media ICONS Photography Exhibit. Professional and Amateur photographers from around the greater Media and Philadelphia area submited photography focusing on the "ICONS" of Media, PA. Works provided a "2nd Look" or an insight into something unusual about the town that might not be noticed upon a first impression of Media. This exciting exhibit is sponsored by First Keystone Bank and jurored by Stephen Perloff, Editor of The Photo Review, The Photograph Collector, and Focus Magazine. Space donated by Tango 411 Studio. This opening night reception will include refreshments and guitar music by Mark Oppenlander in styles ranging from classical to popular. Exhibit runs through Friday, October 17.

Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union - map # 19 If you missed him at July's 2nd Saturday, don't miss him again! Visitors will assist Performance Painter Colin Magness as he hangs from a scaffold to paint a large hanging canvas.

Children's Artwork

This month there will also be opportunities for young budding artists to display their works! The Media Arts Council invites all children artists to bring their artwork to the Franklin Mint during the hours of the 2nd Saturday Arts Stroll to hang in our mini "instant gallery." Six easels will showcase the artwork of young artists for all to enjoy.Use the map!

There are 46 businesses hosting 15 visual artists and live music by 19 groups and musicians! Don't know where to start? Navigate this arts extravaganza with the 2nd Saturday map! Check it out now, or pick it up at participating businesses on 2nd Saturday!

If I am present on the 2nd Saturday of the month at the scheduled location, you can purchase artworks in person, by cash or check. I also accept PayPal, please contact me to request an official PayPal invoice. 2nd Saturday artworks will remain on display for it's intended duration, at which time it will be shipped, or delivered at no charge. However the Media Arts Council hosts various art sales throughout the year, so many artworks at these types of events can be taken home immediately. Art Sales, Fundraisers, Auctions, etc.

You can always send an e-mail to request photographs, and art prints, custom requests, from art displays and websites, at any time and pay securely via Pay Pal. Please always wait for my official PayPal invoice before you send payment. Unique one-of-a-kind items already listed on Etsy, must be purchased through Etsy, (paintings, crafts, etc.)
